The Turtle is an outgrowth of my long career in the mass media. The idea arose in September 2018, with the website taking shape during my postgraduate studies at the Athens School of Fine Arts (MA in Digital Arts, 15th cycle, 2018-2020). I’d like to thank Angelos Floros -Assistant Professor of Interactive Audiovisual Arts of the Ionian University and member of the faculty of the Athens School of Fine Arts- with whom I had long discussions about the interactivity of this project. The Turtle would not exist without the contribution of other creative people. Like, my colleague George Lazaridis, who helped build the website and participated with his artistic work. The logo was designed by the London-based art director Kostas Gargaletsos, in whose resume you will find collaborations with brand names, such as Kylie Minogue, MTV, Levi’s, BBC, ITV, Ministry of Sound, Geffe Records, etc. I also want to pay my respects to web developer Steve Doggett who with persistence and patience designed the donation page. I am especially grateful to Kyriakos Giannatos, an experienced and imaginative web programmer, who made sure the foundations of this website were strong and secure. Thanks to him, our little turtle is now “running”.
